Moroccan king congratulates Hu on successful Olympics

Moroccan King Mohammed VI sent a congratulation message to Chinese President Hu Jintao on the success of the 29th Olympic Games held in Beijing on Aug. 8-24, local MAP news agency reported on Wednesday.

"In my name and in the name of the Moroccan people, to express to you my warmest congratulations," the monarch said, adding that "your great country has given the best example in terms of organization."

The sovereign said he has followed with great interest and admiration the different phases of the Olympics, including the opening and closing ceremonies which reflected the genius of the Chinese people and its splendid civilization.

The message also highlighted the solid links and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, pledging to continue to work together with President Hu to further bilateral ties in all fields.
